The New Orleans Opera continues to flourish in part by the extraordinary support received from the Women's Guild, Junior Committee and Opera Club. Throughout the year there are many fundraisers and special events conceived and executed by these groups.

Junior Committee - New Orleans is America's first city of opera - the first operatic performance in this country took place in New Orleans in the 1790s.
