Supernumeraries Needed
New Orleans Opera is looking for actors to perform non-singing roles for Romeo & Juilette.
The role of Supernumerary is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional theater that seats over 2000, with union crews and some of the best opera singers in the country.
The New Orleans Opera is seeking actors to fill these roles:
- Young ladies to be the friends of Juliette
- Gentlemen to be palace guards and servants
- 2 acrobats
- 2 jugglers
- A fire eater
From first rehearsal to final performance is about 3 weeks, and Supers are only called for evening and weekend rehearsals.
Dates for the production are as follows:
- 1st rehearsal – November 5th
- Performances – November 20th and 22nd
