Scenic Studio
The H. Lloyd Hawkins Scenic Studio is among the country’s leading rental studios for opera scenery and props, with an inventory of over 20 opera productions suited for both large and small venues.
The 30,000 square foot building includes a design studio that has a full carpentry and metal shops, a spacious 80’x80’ paint deck, a stocked prop loft, and a fully equipped sewing room. It’s staffed for year-round construction and refurbishing. We can build props and sets to your specifications, or if you have a scenic idea but no design, you can consult our resident designer about your ideas.
